การสัมมนาครั้งนี้จัดขึ้น ณ กรุงพนมเปญ และเมืองสีหนุวิลล์ ระหว่างวันที่ 19–24 พฤศจิกายน 2568 โดยเป็นความร่วมมือระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยเกียวโตและประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน ซึ่งร่วมกันผลัดเปลี่ยนหมุนเวียนในการเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงานในแต่ละปี

Assistant Professor Dr Sorat Praweenwongwuthi, a faculty member of the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, Nakhon Phanom University, and Director of the Mekong Sub-region Studies Centre, Nakhon Phanom University, has been selected and invited by the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University, to participate in the 49th Southeast Asia Seminar: Global Disruptions and Southeast Asia — Exploring Histories, Narratives, and Transdisciplinary Challenges.
The seminar is being held in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville from 19–24 November 2025, organised through the collaboration between Kyoto University and ASEAN member countries, which take turns serving as hosts for the event each year.
